EPR in HIMACHAL PRADESH

EPR stands for Extended Producer's Responsibility. EPR Certificate in Shimla is mandatory for Electronic Manufacturer/ Importer of electronic product for E-waste management. EPR Authorization in Himachal Pradesh is given by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) under Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change.

Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) in waste management aims to include the environmental costs associated with goods throughout their lifecycle into the prices of products. For this, they'll have to design a waste-collection mechanism, under which they can set up collection centers to facilitate take-backs.

EPR Plan is an implementation plan of the producers where the producers give its overall scheme to full fill its Extended Producer Responsibility obligations for achieving targets and detailed out his mechanism for collection and channelization of e-waste generated by him in the current year

PROCEDURE FOR OBTAINING EPR AUTHORIZATION

• Identifying the applicability and eligibility of establishment

• Preparing the Drafts, EPR plan Budget required filing of the application, Recycler Agreement and respective attachments.

• Submission of Application in CPCB

• Clarifying the remarks if raised by the Department

• Obtaining of registration certificate
