The Ministry of Environment Forest & Climate Change (MOEF) has implemented the E-Waste Management Rule 2016 and The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) issues EPR Authorization to the Electronic Producers. This policy mainly targets to protect the environment from the hazardousness effect of Plastic and Electronics Waste. This policy helps to channelize the E-Waste in an environmentally sound manner.

Responsibility to Electronic Producers by EPR Authorization:

1.Producers are intended to collect the E-Waste generated by them after “end to life” usage with the same Electronic and Electrical Equipment. (EEE)

2. The complete mechanism for the channelization of E-Waste collected by various sectors and other authorized collection points also part of responsibility of EPR Holders

3. Complete process of Pretreatment of hazardous goods/chemicals should come in action before the final treatment of recycling of goods.

4. In order to file a fresh EPR application, details of authorized person containing the following things should be done :

• Concerned person’s name

• Designation

• Company’s website

• Toll- free no.

• E-mail ID

• And Previous sales record (if any)

5. All the agreements signed between the producers and Authorized Authorities (Recyclers) should be checked and has to be submitted in the department. 6. Last the final treatment to be done is recycling of the target mentioned in the EPR Certificate by the producer along with their authorized recycler for proper and true working in the department.
